Recognition time

It seems to be that in the run up to the summer quite a lot of organisations are holding their award ceremonies, and this year Fluidata and I have been the beneficiaries. First was the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists (The WCIT) who held their Enterprise award dinner at the stunning Plasterers Hall at London Wall. There we picked up the Judge’s Award which I was presented by Mike Lynch, ex CEO and founder of Autonomy and Guy Rigby, Head of Entrepreneurs at Smith & Williamson. Apparently out of all the businesses the judges reviewed we were the one the judges themselves would most likely invest their last £100 into. Praise indeed considering the members of the judging panel.

This was followed this week with the London Loves Excellence Awards which is held in conjunction with London Chambers of Commerce. Unfortunately Fluidata didn’t win its own category for Tech & Telecoms however I did pick up Young Entrepreneur of the Year and had the pleasure of receiving my award from Karren Brady. The evening was their inaugural event but with the judging panel being headed up by Willie Walsh, along with a number of other high profile judges, it certainly had credibility. Even Theo Paphitis was there presenting a number of the awards.

So onwards and upwards. It is always nice to be recognised and pay tribute to all those that work so hard in making Fluidata successful.
