I am surprised at how few people made it into work today. I know it is Christmas Eve but with a long holiday beckoning I am surprised so many took it as holiday. Granted the phones are not ringing off the hook but I find it a great opportunity to actually get some work done and not get distracted by a million emails.
Christmas is actually a great business break because everyone else is on holiday and so you can really relax in the knowledge that you aren’t missing out on any developments. What makes it different this year are all the businesses on extended leave due to the economic situation with factories forcing long holidays on staff.
Hopefully next year will be kinder to these businesses and wish everyone a relaxing Christmas and upbeat new year.
